I was reading Nicholas Kristof‘s column in the New York Times this morning, and it still boggles my brain the number of subjects we can’t talk about as adults: Race. Abortion. Immigration. Gay rights. Sex. The list goes on and on. And one of those topics is family planning and contraceptives, which of course involves sex, and sometimes abortion.
If you have just one meal to share while you’re in Denver, head to Vesta Dipping Grill in LoDo. Trust me. It’s hard to believe that Vesta has been in business nearly 14 years now. It still feels as hip and new as the day it opened in 1997. I kept them in business for nearly four years while I lived in Colorado and have been back a handful of times since then and it’s never disappointed. Never.
OK, I know this is silly. It’s a talking-dog video on YouTube. What can I say? I ‘m a sucker for talking-dog videos. And you’ve gotta admit, the dog is really cute. Plus I got hungry listening to the guy, too, so who can blame the dog? It’s a short clip. Enjoy. Remember, laughter is good for the soul. (Video embed below)
I really want to like Culture Espresso. I really do. It’s got good-looking baked goods, though I haven’t given in as of yet. And you can grab a sandwich, too (haven’t tried those, either, but I will at some point). Best of all, it’s located in Midtown, and the good espresso bars are few and far between in the city.
